St. Augustine Field Trip

Our trip is on Friday, May 9th.  Please make sure that you have your child behind the school at the bus loop by 6:00 a.m and back to pick them up around 5:30 p.m.  Make sure your child has dress code appropriate shoes that are comfortable for walking and a red shirt on for the trip.  They will have time to shop and/or visit the candy shop so send them with some spending money.  If you  are chaperoning and/or are sending your child with a lunch from home, please make sure that the lunch is in a bag that can be disposed of after we eat.  The charter buses are equipped with DVD players so we will play a "G" rated movie to and from St. Augustine so electronics will not be permitted.  If you have a "G" rated movie that your child likes to watch, please send it for that day.  Remember chaperones may ride the bus, but don't have to.  If you are choosing to drive, you will need to leave ahead of the buses and park in the parking garage at the visitor center where you will board the bus to begin our tour.  If you have any questions, please let me know!

Important Reminders...

If you haven.t turned in your volunteer form in the front office yet, please do so this week.  You must have the form notarized and have your driver's license scanned in the front office before you may chaperone.  This is very important!

Also, in the next coming weeks we will be focusing on important concepts in class that are necessary for your child to master in order to be successful in 5th grade.  Please make sure that your child is completing the nightly homework.
